even before Chinese companies were making copies of football shirts the biggest selling official shirts (Man Utd) were totalling 3 million shirts a year. Now you have untold fakes sold official shirt sales direct from Arsenal would be a very small fraction of 2 million

Yeah, people get confused with payments / sponsors vs money from shirt sales. They should make their own kits!
Absolutely, there’s plenty of myths in football. Though Adidas do pay us £60m per annum for our deal which is double of the last kit provider.
