Interesting 🤔. Last week, I suggested Xi should invite Trump to attend the event in Beijing celebrating the victory in WWII in September, although I think the chances are low. Kyodo yesterday quoted sources saying that Beijing is indeed considering this. Quite interesting 🤔.

Today, I attended the Canada Day reception hosted by CG Charles Reeves. Two consulate staff performed the Chinese and Canadian national anthems live. I have known my birthday coincides with CCP and Hong Kong SAR, but was delighted to know I also share my birthday with Canada.
