Proud to have been there today, as I have been every Saturday, alternating national & local protest. Doing what I can but we need more. 🙏
Tonight, @RishiSunak and his Government chose to turn their backs on the children of #Gaza yet again. By failing to vote for a #CeasefireNOW at the UN Security Council, the UK is complicit in the horror that children will endure in the coming hours, days, and weeks.
Oxfam research shows world's richest 1% emits as much planet-heating pollution as two-thirds of humanity. That is why WE CAN'T SOLVE THE CLIMATE CRISIS WITHOUT SOLVING THE INEQUALITY CRISIS. Read more at: m.timesofindia.com/articleshow/10…
To be clear, as a UK Member of Parliament I’ll be voting for an immediate ceasefire, nothing less There’s nothing that justifies the killings, murder and suffering of civilians in Gaza There’s nothing humanitarian about a pause; how many more Palestinians must die #CeasefireNOW
Tomorrow, MPs will be voting on the call for a ceasefire in Gaza. It is a simple moral choice: do you support the indiscriminate killing of human beings, or do you want to stop the further loss of life? In the aftermath of horror, we need voices for peace and diplomacy. Instead,…
Keir Starmer is reportedly threatening to sack any Labour frontbench MP who votes for a ceasefire tomorrow. What a complete lack of moral leadership. The SNP will force a vote on a ceasefire. This is a plea for every MP to do the right thing and vote with their conscience.
🚨Exclusive Keir Starmer is preparing to sack any Labour shadow minister who backs the ceasefire amendment tomorrow Leadership thinks 10+ sackings may be needed Labour source: “Support for this motion is not compatible with serving on the front bench” telegraph.co.uk/politics/2023/…
I invite all, mostly medics, public health & EDI professionals to read👇thread. How can we reconcile advocating for health equity closer to home yet be silent to the health & public health catastrophe in Gaza, the racism & dehumanisation of millions of civilians trapped in there.

The silence in the public health community is deafening 😔
As the conflict continues, about 5,500 women are due to give birth in #Gaza over the next two weeks:
I guess some might say 'well, it isn't really my problem'.. but it is. So many of us are complicit - when our governments fund this killing. If we don't speak up, we are in effect normalising, and condoning it. Silence is complicity.
I am Jewish I don't claim to be any kind of expert on the Jewish religion But in my 62 years I have picked up a bit Seems to me that the correct Jewish position right now is to oppose the ongoing GENOCIDE by all means possible I will go on the march today along with MANY Jews
I do not agree with this. But in the end that doesn't matter: what will matter is that once again a Conservative politician is showing they have no feel for the instincts of the average voter.
The British people are compassionate. We will always support those who are genuinely homeless. But we cannot allow our streets to be taken over by rows of tents occupied by people, many of them from abroad, living on the streets as a lifestyle choice. 1/4
More genocidal rhetoric - 'there are no innocent Gaza civilians because there are no innocent Nazi civilians'... the racism, islamophobia, dehumanisation, and genocidal apologism is all there..
US Members of Congress are literally covering for genocidal Israeli violence in Gaza by comparing the innocent victims to Nazis. I have never seen a more openly racist and murderous climate in this country in my lifetime than in this disgusting moment!
