I can't tell whether I'm having a false memory or whether someone removed the VRChat Creator Economy from their world
Earlier today, I tried to wrap my head around how much VRChat Credits are worth compared to a VRChat Plus subscription, in terms of how much VRChat, Inc. might earn. I put up an experimental VRChat Credits calculator on my website: docs.hai-vr.dev/experimental-v… x.com/vr_hai/status/…
Put it in another way, for the VRChat platform to earn 10 million USD from Paid Subscriptions, the users have to funnel 50 million USD into their system. 💸 Also VRChat isn't a website, it has different operational costs. ⚙️

This won't affect a lot of users at the moment, but I have published a pre-release version of Lightbox Viewer for URP. Current restrictions: Requires Unity 6, and only supports Adaptive Probe Volumes (lilToon URP won't work). This is meant to be used on Basis Framework avatars.
The code of my home world doesn't require UdonSharp. I've made it so that one repository contains all the code of my home world, used by both Basis' Unity 6 and VRChat's Unity 2022. Prefabs are another story, they can't be edited across Unity versions. x.com/vr_hai/status/…
This is why I've been doing less VRChat-centric tools. If I can't find a way for a tool to provide value outside the the VRChat ecosystem, it gets deprioritized over other tools. Example: Make stuff work without Udon, rather than improve the VRChat SDK. x.com/vr_hai/status/…
