I started editing at the age of 12. It began when I hooked up two VCR tape decks together and cut a short film. That day I became a film editor. Today...11 feature films and many years later...is another very humbling and special day. Thank you @ACEFilmEditors.

🚨 TEXAS SWITCH ALERT! 🚨 The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976) Peter Sellers and stunt double Joe Dunne
Candlestick!
TEXAS SWITCH ALERT! James Caan does the first jump himself then his stuntman sneakily replaces him to do the bigger jump. Great swap hidden in plain view. Freebie and the Bean (1974)
Okay that’s kinda cool !
LONGLEGS (2024) dir: Osgood Perkins dp: Andres Arochi 787 individual shots in the film average shot length = 7.3 sec wide lenses + center framing 1.33 and 2.39 aspect ratios zoom in at your own risk⬇️
Always great to see a show use whatever format best suits their story. AC recently covered @BetterCallSaul and their use of @TheVaricam for low-light work: bit.ly/2tfNV0L
BETTER CALL SAUL is usually shot at 6K with RED digital cameras. The flash-forward opening scene in S04E05 was shot on 35mm film to match the look of all sixty-two BREAKING BAD episodes also shot on 35mm film. #cinematography @AmericanCine @Kodak_ShootFilm

My choice for a scene that begins with white-knuckle tension and then explodes into batshit cinematic madness.
Cary Grant on his 80th birthday about to get after it.

The ONLY thing cooler than this movie is the UNTOLD STORY of how they made it. And everyone is talking on the record. Leo, Brad, Margo, the entire cast+crew and a new intro by #Quentintarantino. The MAKING of Quentin Tarantino's ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD by @JayAGlennie!…
You don’t have to know about or enjoy baseball to appreciate how great this scene or film is. I do love baseball & think Moneyball might be a perfect film.
I may not know much about baseball, but I know a perfect scene when I see one. "Recreate him in the aggregate."
Absolutely brilliant film, so so good

This moment which helps early on completely bowled me over. Not only is it incredibly staged and filmed, but Blanchett's performance is next level in this moment. An all-time film scene for me.
TÁR (2022) contains a glorious, unbroken 10-minute "oner" shot. Writer/director Todd Field and Cate Blanchett break down the reason why this choice was critical to the storytelling process of the film. #filmmaking #craft
Two icons meet. JAMES CAMERON, Oscar winning director of TITANIC. MARTIN SHEEN, 3-time Emmy winner of THE WEST WING. This is one of the most powerful books I've ever read. Order Ghosts of Hiroshima here: AMAZON: amzn.to/3QuiZT8 B&N: bit.ly/3D7IFSw
DAYBREAK EXPRESS (1953) Shot by D.A. Pennebaker over 3 days in New York City using four rolls of 16mm Kodachrome film. The footage sat untouched in his closet for 5 years until he figured out how to edit it and create a projection print. Music by Duke Ellington. Pure magic.
