Constant passing option in build up Helping Ugarte at whichever depth is best (1-1 or flat 2) Making final third runs when Bruno drops Leading the second depth of the press Very impressed so far. Loving this role for him.
Kobbie Mainoo has been EVERYWHERE so far.
If true, the plan is coming together. The main issue for Chelsea is that, due to them setting the market with Gittens (£55M), there is zero reason for United to expect anything less.
Chelsea could bid for Alejandro Garnacho in addition to Xavi Simons, as reported on @talkSPORT last week. Another LW possible even after Gittens due to Quenda arriving in 2026, Mudryk unavailable, Sancho returning to #MUFC and a chance George is loaned. talksport.com/football/34083…
I'm very, very shocked about the amount of loans (not sales) done this summer by us. Further proof that the club do not believe PSR is an issue after navigating through last season & putting a profitable season (despite on-pitch results) into the books.
If you sign Watkins for £45-50M, you are getting a £45-50M striker for 3-5 years. If you sign Sesko for £60-75M, you are either getting a £150M striker OR £30M striker for the next 5-10 years. It's all about what the club believe they can afford to risk.
Vivell & Sesko (if true) feels like our version of Berta & Gyokeres.
Please, Amorim, just use a 442/541. You've literally done both before. There's less space to cover, it's more compact to block passing lanes/funnel wide & an easy switch for more defensive security/lower block whilst still provides quick outlets for transition.
Glad I stayed up for that. An encouraging start to preseason. Like I've said for some time, I really wish we would abandon the 343 OOP structure but, if it's man-to-man, it's somewhat nullified in the high press as long as it isn’t quickly bypassed. However that doesn’t solve…

I truly believe that Ugarte is closer to an 8 than a 6 with the positions on the pitch where he is best. He is very clearly at his best as a proactive disruptor, not this ground covering destroyer that we need to anchor midfield. His passing is better in the final third, too.
Amorim is a lot of things, subtle is not one of them.
🎙️ | Rúben Amorim on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo: “The first thing, they are really humble, they know how to get inside one group, so they don’t feel like they are the stars. “They also understand that here is not the moment to want to be a star. They are team players at the…
