In Śaiva-Siddhānta, although the evolutes of Māyā & Prakrti (the Vidyātattvas & Ātmatattvas such as Kalā, Rāgā, Aśuddhavidyā, Kāla, manas, buddhi, indriyas, etc) are all considered bonds, they are also considered sources/instruments of illumination, not obscuration, because they…
Its rather funny that in the popular imagination, the reasons for losses to Turks and the British are reversed- disunity and technological backwardness in warfare x.com/prathgodbole/s…

Images of Rājarāja and Rājendra from the early 11th-century Peruvuṭaiyār temple at Tañcāvūr show how Cōḻa monarchs typically appeared—bearded, with a coiled knot of hair and elongated ears—an aesthetic shared with the wider populace.
Some may think "CYCLOPS!" but alas, it is a trick of perspective! If this fine seal were to turn it's head you would discover a second eye ! Marvelous!
A note by @goghritaM goghritam.wordpress.com/2025/07/26/not… Also note: namaḥ kalpānta-hutabhug-jvālāmālāntara-sthite | Which could be seen as a shaiva visualization.
A note on sAvitrI reference in Atharvaveda's Kaushika grihya sutra. Atharva vedic samhitas do not contain the famous vishvAmitra's sAvitrI mantra in the gAyatrI meter. Still, we can infer that it is held in high regard in AV tradition.
To be very clear, none of the Vedānta traditions made it to Cambodia. Only Atimārga, Mantramārga, Pāñcarātra & the Vaidika traditions.
Honestly, there are zero serious reasons to consider any link between this oft-cited inscription and Ādiśańkara. 1. The logic seems to be Bhagavacchańkara = Bhagavatpāda + Śańkara. 2. Faulty because Bhagavatpāda is not some proprietary title for Ādiśańkara. See this:…
Namaskaram , just a short snippet from our recent meeting held for Project Mahesha. Here acharya ji tells us how we will get the manuscripts and then request is made to people to join the Project. Arunachalam.
If one has dabbled even a bit in the ancient Indian history, you would know that you can't even date the kings of the most prominent dynasties with such certitude as done in this bogus genealogy below. All such genealogies floated by 3 Shaankar matha-s are modern fictions.
The dating of Gautam Buddha is taken by Western indologists and their supporters at 644BCE. But the lineage lists of Adi Sankara from 3 mathas is 509BCE! Kanchi matha gives a lineage list also. However there is some radiocarbon from Lumbini pointing at 1500BCE (and 1800BCE) for…
As is the case in almost every other masjid in MP, a linga has been found while digging near this one in Vidisha. Every single monastic centre of the Saiddhantikas, Lakulin Pashupatas and Jainas in this state met the same fate and is obliterated from public memory.
