In 1945, a small group of women helped shape the @UN, making the Charter the 1st international agreement to recognize gender equality as a human right. While women still face barriers to equality today, they continue demanding their rights, building a more just world for all.
15 years ago, @UN_Women was created. Today, we continue to stand up for the rights, equality, and empowerment of the world’s 4 billion women and girls. We will never back down. We will never give up. Join us in driving change #ForAllWomenAndGirls: unwo.men/5xjM50WjquL

While the conflict between Israel & Iran has dominated headlines, we can't allow the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza to be pushed into the shadows. The ceasefire between Iran & Israel offers hope. And hope is more needed than ever. It's time for an immediate ceasefire in…
In 1945, 4 women signed the UN Charter. Since then, women have pushed forward, but continue to be under-represented in decision making. The next 80 years cannot be a continuation of unfinished promises. We need equal power, equal voice & equal rights #ForAllWomenAndGirls. #UN80

The @UN Charter is not optional. It is the bedrock of international relations. We cannot & must not normalize violations of its most basic principles. Now more than ever, we must respect & re-commit to international law — in words & deeds. #CharterDay
On this #WomenInDiplomacy, I honour the women forging peace and driving global cooperation. We need more women at every table where decisions are made. #GenderEquality in diplomacy is not optional, it is essential for peace and sustainable development.
