I dislike the advice going around that “you don’t have it because you didn’t ask for it.” When you become worthy, things just show up… you don’t have to ask. Stop asking for it, and start building it yourself… only then the right people will notice.
No matter what position they hold in your life, if people are ok with you killing your dreams or changing your path to serve their goals/needs… and try to convince you it’s better… Even if you do it “willingly” … consider what it takes for someone to be ok with derailing YOUR…
When people don't understand you, they: - assign false motives to you - attribute labels/roles to define you - think they know your "why" Don't waste time fixing perceptions, but never tolerate disrespect. If they wanted to know the real you, they would ask, not just assume.

When I say "you do you," I don't mean be a selfish prick... I mean: Don’t chase, Don't convince, Don't correct.... anyone. Let them do what they do... and you do you. What is meant for you will happen, don't jump to someone else's path, you know what you need to do.…
You don’t need a five year plan… You just need a really good reason to keep going.
Let them talk. Let them leave. Let them think they know. You’re not here to prove anything. Let them do what they do…. You do what you came to do. Let them underestimate you. (they’re more likely to leave you alone.)
It's okay to change your mind. Evolving beliefs, ideas, and desires don't mean you were wrong… they mean you're growing and learning.
