If you add in conference opponents, which would also be P4 opponents… The Big Ten is playing 174 P4 opponents (9.6 P4 opponents per team) The SEC is playing 146 P4 opponents 9.1 P4 opponents per team)
The B1G is playing a combined 12 P4 opponents this year. The SEC, with 2 fewer teams, is playing 18. Time for a new talking point.

Well Petitti….. we shouldn’t have expanded the playoffs at all then…. Last year showed that it was devalued already!
Petitti told me he doesn’t want a playoff format to devalue or eliminate the conference championship game.
Every time they expand, we get closer to exactly that. The playoff is a failure. Go back to the BCS.
