Excited to share eXplainMR, presented by @wjymonica at #CHI2025 today. Paper link: arxiv.org/pdf/2502.18640. eXplainMR is a VR tutoring system that generates practice opportunities for ultrasound and provides real-time textual and visual explanations on why a move is performed.

Had the final class of my favorite course this semester: AI in Education. We read and discussed early rule-based intelligent tutors guided by a cognitive model, to the latest research on LLM-powered tutors. It's exciting to see old/classic techniques meeting new ones!
