The Student-Run Free Clinic (SRFC) is a terrific interprofessional opportunity for students across health professions at the University of Michigan. Here is just one of the many impactful initiatives that the SRFC is making a mark with out in the community.
PharmD student Nicole Long played a crucial role in securing a free Naloxone distribution box at the Student-Run Free Clinic in Pinckney. Naloxone, which helps reverse opioid overdoses, can be costly without accessible resources like these. Full story: bit.ly/4dDKpjZ
Dr. Phan’s role as associate director of the new Pediatric Pulmonary Center reflects the vital role of pharmacists in interprofessional care. The PPC will train future health professionals across disciplines to better serve children with complex chronic conditions.

@UMich has secured a new agreement with @ElsevierConnect that allows authors from U-M to publish open access in 1,800+ hybrid Elsevier journals at no cost. For the first time, we’ve defined sub-competencies for Intercultural Humility, one of our five U-M IPE competencies. Finalized in March, the updated competency challenges learners to develop self-awareness to deliver inclusive, team-based care across diverse communities.
