Conspiracy theorists tend to conflate impact with intent. More often than we think, bad consequences result from ignorance rather than intent or neglect. Ignorance can mean innocence or incompetence, depending on the resources the perpetrators had to break out from it.

This is a great counterexample. Made me realize it’s not about wheels vs feet, but about legs vs no-legs. More generally, about more or less degrees of freedom. Arguably, you can have more DoF without the need to actively self-balance (e.g. passively stable base with appendages).

The Plaything episode of Black Mirror S7 has an impeccable transition to a game. Makes you feel like part of the story.
