Really one of the accounts ever
Meta is the spiritual father of open source LLMs without OpenAI's people, kiddo 馃懚馃徎
meta is nothing without openai鈥檚 people 鉂わ笍
These AI "vibe tests" should start to take into account a fundamental missing variable: the voter's IQ; not every product is for everyone, to make a PSEUDO-related analogy: a kid would USUALLY be a terrible "vibe tester" for a new tax filing software, ON AVERAGE.
We know all this shit about how the brain/mind works but still we have no clue on all consciousness related (on an abstract level), it's counterintuitive if you think about it
Doesn't cost anything to have a local LLM parked in your phone just in case the world goes nuclear overnight, the internet down indefinitely and you need to know how to piss in the bushes without fucking dying on day one
Human laziness is the only bottleneck left, you can do everything the way you want it with AI but still everyone defaults on ghiblifying themselves and that's why you can spot them, to make a random example. Turns out that ease of access does the opposite of empowering creativity
Imho we should take a break and understand human's mind better to then resume studying AI's mind more efficiently, that's how you smash the wall
If you want to fall in love with Android try Termux + Proot Debian + llama.cpp to get a grasp of the freedom of possibilities that this ecosystem offers
@grok did they ever reach consensus on what AGI is supposed to be?
Comparing AI to Crypto is a bit of a stretch, at least AI is delivering tools with actual utility that works (to some extent) while Crypto has always been just a promise that translated in its exact opposite if anything
As a poor pleb I cheer for Mr X/Mr Y in the current gossip feud. Long live somebody!
Why don't they ever learn that everybody hates that overfitting slow-motion effect in AI generated videos? If one wants it he prompts it, no? It should be about creativity, not forced beautification!
Hey @AskPerplexity make a video of a robot waving and saying hello world
Closed source models are nothing but toys. You can't work with something that 1) Has little to no customizability 2) Has policies/guidelines that can change/tighten overnight and 3) Goes through updates that can change/break the model behavior, hence compromising reproducibility.
