Let's end the working week with these photos of various Paddington Bear toys as at Paddington Station. Mostly featuring my children's teddy bears, but the bear with the yellow hat was my wife's old Paddington Bear from the 1980s.




Black and white version of this photo featuring dancer Andreya in the beautifully restored聽Grade II listed Crystal Palace Subway. It was designed by聽Charles Barry Jr &聽first opened in 1865. The subway provided a direct access to the Crystal Palace for first-class rail passengers

Red and Yellow Another version of this photo capturing the flickering light on the train as it departs Embankment London Underground Station.

#OnThisDay 54 years ago the Victoria Line opened between Victoria and Brixton via Vauxhall and Stockwell (Pimlico opened in 1972). It was intended to continue to Streatham Hill, Streatham, and Norbury but never made it beyond here. More @tubemapper magic buff.ly/c0fy7Mz

You may have spotted a vintage red 1938 Underground train travelling on some lines recently. I was lucky to ride on one of it's special heritage runs organised by the @ltmuseum. I met up with Head Curator Matt Brosnan, to explain the significance of this beautiful train.
