freediving, the ocean, the forest. making films in my head.
I got overly mad yesterday after a bad day at the Usual Opinions but I'm enjoying seeing so many have found their own energy for it today lol
no way that sounds awesome? someone should make that
All Avatar is is a visual movie. He literally remade Dances with Wolves with blue aliens
reminder that the suits in Endgame were done entirely in post only because they hadn’t decided on a design for them before they started filming
Rebecca Romijn says she’s not sure if she has finished filming her scenes for ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ “Not sure. They haven’t finished writing [the script]” (Source: @THR)
I worked on these scenes!
Action looks even more dynamic than in Way of Water
this was always the only answer, otherwise they couldn’t wear a shirt
OK, so now we know how an elephant would wear pants.
As soon as I heard "unobtainium" as a resource, I checked out. never watch again.

almost not worth talking about at this point, but it’s so easy to forget that these films are *made* for 3D The composition, having layered foliage at the edges of the screen tickling your peripheral vision etc What you see on a phone screen is so much less than the real thing
#AvatarFireAndAsh
in a post-mystery box world it's so refreshing how little james cameron gives a shit about spoilers. way of water plays kiri's origins all coy but the script just outright says what her deal is. you can't spoil avatar because it's an experience, not a plot delivery system
yep only digital animation going on here! what is it about these films that makes people reject the evidence of their eyes? they can’t help themselves it's fine to not like it, you don't have to lie to yourself to justify an obviously untenable position
It’s high quality digital animation. Motion capture doesn’t negate the fact it is animated, as well as the entire environment(s). Not taking away from the work and skill, but if you can’t see the difference between Titanic/Terminator and Avatar, I don’t know what to tell you
like i'm sure he hates getting to work with sigourney and kate winslet again after all these years, i'm sure he's just powering through that the best he can while he dreams of doing Anything Else. do you people hear yourselves
nothing more exciting to me in modern blockbusters than the continuing complication of stephen lang's performance as quaritch. "for our sins in our past life we have been brought back in the form of our enemy." what next?
jake carrying spider on his back. i just know quaritch is jealous asf.
once again naming their artists front and centre as a global massive film franchise. other blockbusters take note

Imagine coming up with and painting something in your 20s and then using it as inspiration for a film your're making 40-50 years later. How fucking metal is that. Got me feeling all insane and emotional.
