Hi, guys! I’m disabled and have an MRI of my brain coming up this week. I thought it was next month, so we were planning all of our expenses around that time period. They’re wanting to see the encephalopathy progression. If anyone can help, I’d be so thankful.

I hate to break it to you, but sometimes disability isn’t societies version of pretty. People have ostomies, they throw up, drool, speak loudly in public, have bladder or bowl accidents, have physical bodily differences, etc. We’re still people even when you can’t romanticize us.

Downs Syndrome is NOT a disease. It’s not fatal. What makes it debilitating IS ableism. Like actually fuck you. “Eradicating” Down syndrome is literally eugenics. There are thousands of people with downs that have more heart, love, and intelligence than you ever will.

this *is* eugenics but also saying that a person who can't contribute on the capitalistic life style of being exploited can't be happy is just nasty. people are not born to produce. people are not born to work. disabled people have the right to live.
