Introducing 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐇𝐀🏄 -- Hardware! A low-cost, open-source, mobile manipulator. One of the most high-effort projects in my past 5yrs! Not possible without co-lead @zipengfu and @chelseabfinn. At the end, what's better than cooking yourself a meal with the 🤖🧑🍳
Excited to share a new humanoid robot platform we’ve been working on. Berkeley Humanoid is a reliable and low-cost mid-scale research platform for learning-based control. We demonstrate the robot walking on various terrains and dynamic hopping with a simple RL controller.
When I started my first project on in-hand manipulation, I thought it would be super cool but also quite challenging to make my robot hands spin pens. After almost 2.5 years of effort in this line of research, we have finally succeeded in making our robot hand "spin pens."
Going to RSS this weekend to catch up with old + new friends. DM/like this tweet if you'd like to catch up. I'm excited!
When will robots help us with our household chores? TidyBot++ brings us closer to that future. Our new open-source mobile manipulator makes it more accessible and practical to do robot learning research outside the lab, in real homes!
Amazing that you can now train ACT on a macbook, with built-in camera for observation and a <$500 robot to run the policy. A large step in democratizing robot learning. Congrats @RemiCadene @huggingface!
The wait is finally over!!! 😁 We just dropped an in-depth tutorial on how to build your own robot! Teach it new skills by showing it a few moves with just a laptop. Then watch your homemade robot act autonomously 🤯 1/🧵👇
Silicon Valley can keep convincing themselves they are the best at “software”, “AI”, until a Chinese hardware startup pulls off the best AI-driven locomotion on a production humanoid. New hardware companies from China won’t be satisfied with manufacturing, unlike their…
Unitree G1 mass production version, leap into the future! Over the past few months, Unitree G1 robot has been upgraded into a mass production version, with stronger performance, ultimate appearance, and being more in line with mass production requirements. We hope you like it.🥳…
🤖 Introducing UniT, a tactile representation learning framework that 🧠 Simple-to-Train: Trained with data from a single simple object. 🥂 Plug-and-Play: Learns a unified representation adaptable to various tasks and objects. See thread for more details (1/4)
Yesterday, I recorded 100 trajectories to teach my robot arm to grasp @LEGO_Group block Overnight, I trained a neural network on my MacBookPro. Today, it can grasp pretty well. No need for an expensive setup to get started with robotics. You just need github.com/huggingface/le…
End-to-end imitation for surgical robots! Careful action space design continue to play a key role in getting real-world systems to work
Introducing Surgical Robot Transformer (SRT): Automating surgical tasks with end-to-end imitation learning. On the da Vinci robot, we automate: - Knot tying - Needle manipulation - Soft-tissue manipulation Collaboration between @JohnsHopkins & @Stanford.
Incredible progress with imitation learning; the learning from demos efficiency is pretty wild
Excited to announce Surgical Robot Transformer🪡: Automating delicate surgical tasks with end-to-end imitation learning. It's still mind blowing to see robot autonomously tying knots, a task I did not think is possible even a few months before. Sharing some learnings in 🧵:
