All views are my own. Even this one. History, books & pens. Once ran marathons for fun.
That’s the second child now broken up for summer holidays. A week before they are transported down to Devon to visit grandparents for a fortnight.
If I see a Teams invite while I’m in the car, I’m driving off the nearest cliff
NEWS: Mercedes-Benz is integrating Microsoft Teams into its vehicles, starting with the new CLA model.
Yes!!! Printing this out so I can flash it in front of my wife when I am, NOW FALSLEY, accused of being a child! Loving age verification!

A friend recommended that, as a fan of Agatha Christie, I should try her novels written under the pseudonym of Mary westmacott. I have just finished the 1930 giants bread novel. What a wonderful story; complex, almost Greek in tragic plot. I really enjoyed it.

Finally had the dose of thunder we were predicted last week but bypassed us at that time lovely deep rumbles.
Taken a while but I have formulated my plan for an August bank holiday trip and will try a double pivot to Salisbury then Winchester. Winchester has been on my list for a long time.
Take thy tommy Robinson reposts and find someone else’s timeline to post them. Such a shame but there are lines to an unfollow.

17 out of 20 chapters of my forthcoming History of Byzantium done. Chapter 18 will be written next week (currently at Dumbarton Oaks - the closest to Heaven I am likely to get). The book was not my idea, but so far I have greatly enjoyed writing every single chapter.

Back when the teatime choice was red or yellow (1977)
Procrastinating painting the surround to the front door at 2.30pm doesn’t seem so clever now I have discovered it’s a 6 hour wait to add second coat!
Great to have watched U2 in 19865 singing their hits up to that point, not knowing that within 2 years of that gig they will have released one of the greatest albums of the 80s and become a global superband for the next 40 years. All unknown to them.
I did watch a bit of the live aid replay on the bbc yesterday and well done for doing that, but my memory is so vague that I cannot really remember many of the artists or songs at the time! I think I remember Queen of course, but that might be a myth and I picked it up later
The first few novels of James Bond villains are okay but they really start to motor in the DR No novel where the villain has become a Meglo-maniac dreams and aspirations creating the stereotype for the films to come.
Exactly Liz, nothing represents 'our national culture' more than Greek statues made in Greece by Greeks.
