I think that Tadej looks at that moment more of his mistake rather than how Jonas did that to him. The revenge he was looking for was to get through the stage so strongly and win the Tour. The level of ownership Tadej takes in his failures is next level and is one of the many…
Tadej had the legs to drop Jonas earlier today. Just imagine if he did and then got on the radio and said: "He's gone. He's dead"..... that would have been the biggest mic drop moment in all of sports!! #TDF2025
Here’s my podcast from the TDF Stage 18 - Why I liked Visma’s strategy —and how they executed it to near perfection - Why Tadej Pogačar has evolved into a cold-blooded killer in the mountains, and how it’s working out -What’s new about Jonas Vingegaard and why I’m loving this…

I think it was a mistake on his part to ride up on them so quickly and then get right on their bumper. It was not during the race, instead before the race driving past the buses. I think the driver did not know there were riders right behind and stopped to talk to someone at the…
Tom, any thoughts on Visma brake checking Pogi before the start of the stage? I saw the video and it looks intentional.
You should ride that stage like they did. Imagine every part of your body in insane pain and you can’t see straight trying to throw attacks. Only 3 out of 161 people were able to make attacks.
Too disappointed to watch such a boring last 30mins. Jonas clearly bluffed to his delusions of the winning the tour.
Some of the “reserve” you are criticizing is survival. I can’t tell you how destroyed you are in the last week of the Tour racing GC. While you are trying to go as hard as you can there is a part of your body that is saying “no buddy, get to the finish line just like this if you…
The criticism comes from the fact that Jonas said he’s going all in and doesn’t even care if he loses second. He’s certainly not riding like he doesn’t care about losing second. He was still extremely reserved for someone desperate to win at all costs.
Maybe he thought with the tailwind he could have stayed away and also thought he was stronger than the breakaway. He didn’t really force it so really I think tested it and then shut it down.
@tomdanielson porque Wout gastou na na etapa de ontem? Desnecessário não?
Absolutely and it’s awesome to see. The explanation from my view is that young athletes are training now with the top level methodologies. They are starting now at 14 or 15 training like this after already riding and racing for fun for years. I see this now with my 15 year old…
Have you noticed the level of chatter from commentators/racers/fans about the number of amazing accomplishments/records/rejuvenations and potential explanations?
