Real spiritual friendship is eagerly helping one another know, serve, love, and resemble God in deeper and deeper ways.
Politics helps to cement cultural changes, but it typically does not lead them.
If you only obey God's word when it seems reasonable or profitable to you, that isn't really obedience at all.

It's impossible to have met the real Jesus and be indifferent. You either bow down in wonder OR go away offended.
Jesus took the abandonment we deserve, (Mt 27:45), so God now will never abandon us (Hebrews 13:5). We are simultaneously radically sinful and permanently and completely accepted as right in his sight (2 Cor 5:21). There is no more condemnation for those in Christ Jesus (Rom 8:1)

The fish must honor its design. It is designed for water, not for land. Real freedom is not living without restrictions. It's about finding the right ones.
It is not enough to believe the Gospel with your head. It must become operational in your heart.

More often than not, the reason your life is out of control is because you're afraid of giving control of your life to God.
If you have a God powerful enough to be mad at because of evil (because you think he could do something about it), then you have a God great enough to have reasons that you can't fully understand.
