@doublezero is both the next logical step and the most ambitious idea in the mission of scaling blockchains… and so I am excited to announce that I have joined the project, as Chief Economist at the Foundation!
A few months into @doublezero’s testnet. Let’s take a peek under the hood ↓
Multicast is to communication what parallelization is to computation: a game-changer in scalability.
Introducing: Native Multicast Support on @DoubleZero The most efficient data transport method for distributed systems. Messaging will never be the same. Here's why…
When Solana ships the multiple concurrent leader model, decentralization will no longer need to be subsidized. Distance will become a validator's strategic advantage instead.
To us at @DoubleZero, the biggest virtue of the multiple concurrent leaders model is very underappreciated. As our Chief Economist @theshah39 explained some weeks ago, it organically incentivizes decentralization across geography. 🧵↓
🔥🔥🔥 "We have already integrated our Solana testnet validators with @doublezero's testnet and are preparing for the upcoming mainnet launch. In addition to latency and throughput improvements, we are excited about DoubleZero’s potential to promote geographic decentralization.…
We have published our @Solana validator performance report—highlighting how we’re strengthening Solana’s decentralization, security, and validator performance through our staking operations. As of June 1, 2025, over 40M SOL is staked to Coinbase validators, representing 10.6% of…
You shouldn't have to deal with inconsistent internet infrastructure for communication. Consistency allows for higher performance and tighter optimization. On @DoubleZero, your infra just... works. 🔗 full chat with @Austin_Federa and @buffalu__ below ↓
The real tragedy of Lion King was that Scar was a poor administrator
Why should protocol designers constrain themselves to PoS and PoW? DoubleZero wants to reward contributions across space and time in ways that the existing systems aren’t set up to do. So DoubleZero is a new design that @Austin_Federa and I call "Proof of Utility."

It is wild how differently society rewards you for peaking in high school versus peaking in college
If you've been FOMO-ing over all the IBRL-ing, @ValidatorsApp has a @doublezero live tracker showing which validators are connected to DZ. Look for the DZ icon. validators.app/validators?is_…
Blockspace supply and demand curves are counterintuitive. Supply doesn’t shift left when validators exit, i.e. prices don’t rise when validators are unprofitable (although remaining validators make more with more leader slots). Only protocol parameters shift the supply curve.
We’ve submitted a letter in response to the SEC Crypto Task Force’s request for feedback on a proposed safe harbor. We urge the SEC to clarify that digital assets without contractual obligations are not securities & to prioritize assessing ‘control,’ in its safe harbor framework,…
Congrats to the phenomenally-innovative team at @untolabs!
We are excited to announce that @untolabs has raised $14.4 million in funding from @ElectricCapital and @hiFramework to build Thru, a next generation base layer blockchain. To bring L1 blockchain performance to parity with global scale applications, it takes more than putting a…
