He's super rich, and he feels guilty about it. So it makes sense that he has no qualms about using government to play games and experiments with other people's lives and money, just so he can feel better about himself. The results don't even matter - he'll stay rich regardless.
Socialism doesn't work and is immoral. Plus, this exact experiment has been done with a UBI, and it failed miserably. People came out poorer, less productive, and worse off while becoming dependent and entitled. This is not the way.

As awful as Mahler’s wicked views are, it’s good that regular people will see this and be aware of the danger he represents. Great quote from @ConceptualJames in here too about how extremists like Mahler provide space for the less extreme (but still very bad) to seem less crazy.
