Myth - Newcastle are funded by “oil” money. Fact - about 90% of NUFC’s income in 23/24 was from non-PIF related sources. Myth - Newcastle have “bought” their success. Fact - Newcastle’s squad cost (wages + amortisation) was only the 8th highest in the PL in 23/24.
Wages + Player amortisation will likely be the basis of the PL’s new squad cost control ratio next year. Using this metric, NUFC only have the 8th HIGHEST SQUAD COST in the PL. Howe has us punching significantly above our weight.

Just watching that Carabao SF again for about the 43rd time and Burn was an absolute colossus. Headed away everything that was flung in the box particularly in the last 30 minutes. Threw his body in front of every shot. No surprise how poor we were against WHU without him.
