30 years ago, on 17 May 1995, 6-year-old Gedhun Choekyi Nyima was abducted by China, just days after being recognized as the 11th Panchen Lama by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Since then, he has remained disappeared, unseen and unheard by the world.
