Adding notes has got to be ultra convenient, in the moment. So I'm adding a floating Scratch Pad, available instantly whatever you're currently doing. For anything from capturing thoughts to taking meeting notes. Just hit option + space and start typing. Simply loving this one 🥰
Hey fellow productive people. Been thinking about what apps could exists in the notes/task space lately. Curious though, what's your system for keeping thoughts and tasks organized?

Finally got around to adding a contextual toolbar. Didn't realize how much it was missing until now - such a speed boost to using the app ⚡️
Combining all these interactions - wrap, drop, undo/redo, unfold, drop-back, unwrap... gives me that cozy feeling that things are starting to come together 🥰💖
Drop in to a folder, then undo. It's the small touches that takes an interface beyond being strictly efficient - and also being fun to use.
Our favorite thing about Dropset by @tbsrnstrm and @lex_shvets is how its UI is somehow sleek, fit, chonky, and accessible all at once. Whether or not you lift, it's a great reference for developers in how to use shades, text, and hierarchy: apps.apple.com/app/id64447461…
Sometimes, it's the smallest of things that makes me the happiest. Yesterday's win was having smooth scrolling while selecting more text. Not sure why this is typically so choppy looking.
Cancelable animations are such underrated heroes of user interface design.
About half a year ago I started designing what would be my dream app for note taking, and shortly after that I started building it. It's been by far the most fun I've had designing a product. Haven't posted much here about it, so here's a recap of where this app has gotten to.
Something I can't quite get enough of in interface design is making use of how objects would behave in the physical world. We're hard wired to understand the world in movement and direct interaction. That's how to create simple and intuitive things.
Folders are coming along super nicely. Throw just about any number of stuff in them, and they'll sort out their layout. Latest addition, pulling things out of it when needed again.
Being a visual person, I think I'd love something like this to keep track of notes and thoughts. A free space for various snippets + calm, focused long form writing. Is that just me? What's your feeling on this way of organizing your thoughts?
