We started Avenue M to connect experiences and ideas in ways that'll surprise a lot of people. That's why last week, we had paleontologist @SteveBrusatte on. And that's why next week, we'll be dropping a really beautiful conversation with @AatishTaseer... PS he's got a new book…
These are Hindus and I never met a Hindu Islamist yet.
Oh, but you never come across Islamists. 😅😅😅
In Delhi I keep running into Biharis these days whose names have been wrongly removed from voter lists. Some simply because they were working here when the officials came to revise the rolls.
The #Bofors gun ensured #India’s victory against #Pakistan #KargilVijayDiwas
Have no fear Brigadier Sahib they don’t make many like me any more!!😉
But we do not need another @tavleen_singh . One is enough.
Thank you.
Thanks, ma’am. Buying the hardcover of this was the best decision.
If I were voting in Bihar I would vote for Jan Suraaj. Prashant Kishor is the only inspiring and important Indian leader I have seen since I became a political columnist decades ago. We need a hundred more like him.
@thearvindswami and I first met in 1985 in this city Geneva. He went on to become the “heart throb of India” with Roja. He remains as unassuming and dashing as ever. Thank you dear friend for reading #boforsgate @swatichopra1

Instead of wallowing in our ‘glorious past’ it is time to get more serious about creating a glorious present and future. My column today. share.google/rYYFsFtekLaUuL…
🇮🇳 ✍️ Author @AatishTaseer has no regrets over his 2019 TIME article calling Narendra Modi “India’s Divider in Chief,” which led to his Overseas Citizen of India status being revoked months later. He spoke to @DelanoDSouza on #AccessAsia ⤵️
Perishable farm produce: fruit, veggies and flowers. Do some research.
Where did you get the figure of 70% farm produce rotting & not consumed ? Please give an authentic source on this statement rather than whip negativity. In reality, loss of agricultural output is just a small fraction of the total output.
The farm reforms were opposed by farmers because they seemed designed to benefit farm produce manufacturers. Not farmers. The most urgent farm reform has to be cold chain infrastructure. No farmers would oppose it.
.@tavleen_singh Inconvenient question as it comes with the other tricky one - of how will you have private sector investment in cold chains without farm reforms. Government can’t do it on their own. Will our andolanjeevis and ahratiyas allow that? #agriculture
Happy to hear the Agriculture minister declare that India will become the ‘food basket of the world’. Can he explain how this can happen without cold storage chains that would prevent 70% of perishable farm produce from dying in the fields?
Republicans who call Zohran Mamdani an Islamist are speaking nonsense. But the mayoral candidate does represent a de facto alliance between Islamists and the left based on a shared antipathy toward Israel. [My take]
Namaste Chandigarh! Any takers for Chhutka? #AdoptDontShop 🐶 RT!
There’ll be other Chitra Subramaniams in the history of Indian #journalism I told a kind person who said there won’t be @mysurulitfest We have to look for & help good reporters. @vasanthihari @swatichopra1 #Boforsgate youtu.be/83VwIgU6Pds?fe… via @YouTube
