I’ve always thought the last couple manga gens were 2012-2018 then 2019 onwards. I think that last gen has just ended in 2024 or maybe this year

200 chapters is in fact far too long for many manga given how many lose the plot and quality after 100, let alone 400
Don't be surprised if Kagurabachi ends up being a 5-6 year manga. This seems to be the current sweet spot for weekly manga series and I personally think that's good. Not every series needs to last longer than that if they can tell a meaningful story in that amount of time.
