Not a species that CSIP usually work on... This beaver was found at Polzeath, Cornwall over the weekend- our CSIP colleague James Barnett and his CMPT team carried out a #CSIOfTheSea examination for our friends at #DRAHS in @ZSLScience. Glad we could help out, great work all!
MY CSIP colleague @Perkins16Matt is also on the road today- recovering this porpoise from Devon and relay recovery with @MatthewWestfie3 of a common dolphin found stranded in Pembrokeshire. On the way back to @ZSLScience, #CSIOfTheSea exams to follow over the next few days.
On the road in East Anglia yesterday- delivered samples to our friends @CefasGovUK to support @RosieSWilliams1 research on the impact of contaminants- and then on to recover a porpoise found stranded earlier this year. Back at @ZSLScience now, #CSIOfTheSea exam to follow soon...

Heading back to @ZSLScience from Kent with this adult female white-beaked dolphin onboard. Found dead stranded at Sheerness, Kent yesterday- amazing recovery effort by our friends at @BDMLR! #CSIOfTheSea examination later today with the rest of the CSIP team, more to follow soon.

Also managed to pick up a seal too... Sad case, chronically ring-necked in plastic material- one of several such cases in the nearby colony. Sadly didn't make it, despite great attempt to help it by @BdmlrYorksLincs. Heading back to @ZSLScience #CSIOfTheSea exam to follow soon...
Really interesting day by the Humber today, taking part in @humbernature marine mammal strandings workshop. Good to meet both old friends and new there today, looking forward to working together with everyone to form a better partnership on strandings response!
