Ok I didn’t mind @getnickwright until this rant but it’s gonna make me go fucking joker mode, it’s clear what kinds of people have been in his ear on these “issues” and I’m so sick of people tearing down some of the absolute best and most honorable people in the game
While we’re here let’s take a minute to appreciate how silly this part of the payout structure is
I’ve been conducting a deep digital anthropological study of the community of Kassouf fans and this seems to be a very common strain of thought among them. As far as I know, we don’t know Kassouf’s politics, but he sure does seem to attract the worst kinds of people to his cause.
I understand “responsible gaming” is largely a joke to appease regulators, but maybe it’s not a great look for operators to make the star of their biggest event a guy with fairly obvious mental health and gambling addiction issues
People that are good for poker inspire others by showing their wit, skill, competitive spirit or resilience on Tv. It’s misunderstanding how content works to think that more views equals good for the game. It’s just people curious to see assholes act like assholes.
I promise you this is the funniest take we’ve seen so far in the Kassouf discourse. I’ve been wading into the depths and no one comes close to the ideas presented by this reply guy

Unbelievable that none of these players are instantly calling the clock on him every single time the action is on him or calling him out for being an awful piece of shit for the offensive things he’s saying. If I’m at a table with him I’m making a TD stand 5 feet away max
