My local cinema is currently showing four films - Lilo & Stitch (PG), Mission Impossible (M), Final Destination (MA15+) and Thunderbolts (PG). Sure, older kids and young teens could watch the M:I or MCU films, but for kids aged about 2-8 years old, there's only one option.

You can learn a lot about a period of history by reading the novels and creative works of the people who lived through it, though. Maybe even more than by reading an account of that period by a contemporary historian.
