I can now officially say that I am a Research Assistant Professor in @DrexelPharmPhys! With my recently funded K01 I’ll be investigating the role of depression and antidepressants in myeloid HIV persistence and inflammation. Beyond excited for this next chapter of my research! 😍
We work hard to sell this program to universities and are quite familiar with the pricing model. To help clear up some confusion, here’s an in depth thread about how pricing really works 🧵 (1/7)
The SEPTA Key Advantage program has a flawed design that can make it prohibitively expensive and is the main driver for the schools not getting on board or dropping off But it's interesting Drexel had the money to name 30th St El Station after itself, but not for Key Advantage!
Amazing session this morning on "Immune-dopaminergic interactions in neurological disorders" at the SNIP 2024. Thanks to all our speakers @AdithyaGopinat9, @BreanaChanner, @DWWilliamsLab, Drs. Bruno Conti and Violaine-Walker Delorme & my co-chair, Dr. Cecilia Marcondes @SDBRI.

Beyond thrilled to see this amazing work on dopamine mediated changes in myeloid IL-1b out as a preprint (biorxiv.org/content/10.110…). In this extensive study, @stephaniemmatt examines how expression of distinct dopamine receptors influences IL-1b in different myeloid cell types.
