I find that photographs make me smile and feel happy. I hope these also have that same effect on you. Most of them were taken in Newfoundland & Labrador.
Oh, I agree wholeheartedly!
Opinion: Keep it up, nasty Canadians dlvr.it/TM3lhX
These traveller’s simply had to stop, dismount, and spend some time watching this sunset and I can’t blame them.

Pitcher plants, the official flower of Newfoundland and Labrador. They are insect eating plants like the Venus Flytrap plants and can be found in always damp and wet areas like bogs.

Flowers and insects around our gardens while they last. Everything is in full bloom for summer now.

A white rose just for you ladies out there. The honey bee is complimentary.

Just a fence study. A wise man once said to never remove a fence until you find out why it was put there in the first place.

A very windy day at the lighthouse today and is that wind off the water ever cold this afternoon. Around here you should always bring a sweater or little jacket with you as our temperatures can change very quickly close to the ocean.

Hey Jersey, a young moose. We have not seen one of these in a long time now. She is out moving around in the cooler weather as there are not as many pesky biting flies around today.

Bongjun and I out having breakfast last summer at this time. Things change quickly. Then I was 60 pounds heavier and felt much better. I look forward to seeing him again when they come at Christmas. The Mrs. is already talking about and planning that visit.

The back yard covered in wild rose petals. When little Luci was alive she loved the smell of them and use to lay on them all afternoon long.

The giant weathervane completely surrounded by wild rose trees at this time of the year. Just zoom in to see how many Park animals you can see on there.

The water taxi returning from Woody Point. There does not seem to be many people on it today in the much cooler weather.

A warm afternoon at Rocky Harbour Pond unlike today. Our temperatures slipped again and today while sunny it is only 16 degrees. I have been shivering all day! This little beach is a great day use area close to town that is popular with local families.

We certainly did our share of eating out while Shelley was here but now Marlene and I are tired of restaurants for a while. Tonight we are eating turkey dinner left overs at the house. That is always good.

A day fishing with Poppy and dad. I can still remember dad taking me fishing when I was this age. Can you? Some things you just never forget.

Some more photos for tomorrow as I will be busy catching up on my gardening following Shelley’s visit. The Viking Octantis in the harbour yesterday. Every year we see more and more cruise ships here as they continue to look for more interesting locations to visit.
