Flowers, heartfelt notes, and tributes fill Birmingham city centre as fans say goodbye to one of our own - Ozzy Osbourne.

Absolutely heartbroken. Ozzy Osbourne was more than a music legend; he was a Brummie who proved you can come from humble beginnings and still change the world. One of our own, always. Rest in peace, Ozzy.

Incredibly frustrating to see this playing out at Smithfield. Yet again art/culture slips off the planning agenda. We have the chance to be Birmingham’s Bilbao and a gallery of national importance could transform the city. When will we learn? birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-…
Morning! Here’s a speedy sketch of @bhamcathedral of old on some foam board packaging. Thought it was a shame for the packaging to go to waste! Have a lovely Sunday.

My view for 45 minutes after suggesting a run with my super-fit football-playing 17-yr-old son. #keepupdad

Every child deserves access to art history. So I loved visiting 'Workshop of the World' @ikongallery for this week's column. Young Birmingham artists have taken inspiration from the city's arts, crafts and famous fonts in an uplifting exhibition ✨️ ruthmillington.co.uk/workshop-ikon/
I’ve been working on a visitor campaign with a difference; one that puts Brummie storytelling at its heart. More information: edwinelliscreativemedia.com/blog/telling-b… Let me know what you think!

Breaking Moos! The @brumshospice @wildinart Bulls in the City trail launches today across Birmingham city centre. We’re proud to sponsor Cadbully on New Street... centralbid.co.uk/birminghams-bu…
Makes me so happy to spot people photographing a colour palette when I’m out and about for work 😍

Birmingham's youngest artists have a brilliant new exhibition @ikongallery. Inspired by the city's arts and crafts heritage, they've experimented with printmaking, fonts, felt, metalwork, design and textiles in 'Workshop of the World' ✨️
Final day of my son’s work experience. Had to spend it with Ozzy @BM_AG

Always loved this bit of Digbeth – think it could be extra special, with closed road, new public space/seating and better use of the huge rail arch (access to Moor St station?). It’s got a bit of everything Brum about it. 📍Allison Street, Birmingham

.@imbuebot ‘Lost All Meaning’ exhibition at 104 Floodgate Street, @digbethestate Birmingham. Until 10 July. So good!

For @TheArtNewspaper I've remembered pioneering Pop artist PETER PHILLIPS (1939 - 2025) who drew on Birmingham's industrial culture in collage-like paintings of car parts, comic books, stars and flags to achieve global success. But he never lost his Brummie sense of humour.
Day One of my eldest, George, on work experience with Edwin Ellis Creative (the company bearing his and his brother Arthur’s middle names) It was around this time he asked if we’re going to find somewhere nice for lunch This kid’s going to do ok

Page 3 of the paper looks a little different these days! Thanks to my old paper for the mention x

Quick Sunday journal sketch of what was the best pub in Birmingham, right next to Moor Street station and now the site of Selfridges. What a bizarre building it was! Who met here before heading over to Snobs?
