7/24/25 746pm @SCFD8 & @SpokaneValleyFD extinguished an attic fire on E 46th in the Ponderosa Neighborhood. No injuries are reported. Fire is under investigation for cause.

7/23/25 @SCFD8 alongside @SpokaneValleyFD & Newman Lake worked to keep a brush fire at 1.5 acres on Conklin Rd.

We are already seeing windy conditions on the South Hill/Moran Praire. It’s a red flag day. @SCFD8 firefighters are staffing an additonal engine to boost initial attack

Over the last two days, our members have been honoring our lost brothers, Battalion Chiefs Harwood and Morrison. There are no words that express our sadness for the families left behind. Rest easy, brothers

7/9/25 Due to today’s 🚩@SCFD8 firefighters are staffing an additional engine. (This apparatus is an “attack” or an engine designed for urban interface fires)

7/8/25 1015 @SCFD8 firefighters are enroute to the #hopefire in Stevens County, near Kettle Falls. They are expected to report on the fire by 6am. Fire is reported at 3200 acres and has many structures threatened. There are Level 2 and 3 evacuations

RED FLAG WARNING!!! Today, 7/8, for Spokane County. Even more of a reason to follow current burn restrictions in our area. @SCFD8 is staffing extra units for the increased fire danger. #hereforyou
