IIM Calcutta's Doctoral Student -  Economics Group, Mr. Shubham Ojha, presented his paper (co-authored with Prof. Somdeep Chatterjee ) titled “State Capacity and the Catch-Up Effect" at the Royal Economic Society (RES) Conference, at University of Birmingham, UK on 30 June 2025.

The @IIM_Calcutta #Economics seminar series kickstarts this Friday with @mattsson_martin delivering an in-person talk on “Public Sector Salaries and the Quality of Governance: Evidence from Frontline Bureaucrats in India”. Looking forward to what sounds like an interesting paper!
