🦴🦕 The FOCIL EIP is now EIP-7805 🦕🦴 This EIP proposes a committee-based, Fork-choice enforced Inclusion Lists (FOCIL) mechanism to preserve Ethereum’s censorship resistance properties by guaranteeing timely transaction inclusion. by @soispoke, @fradamt, @_julianma,…

I have assumed direct control and expressed the official Milady opinion as to what the Glamsterdam headliner should be. ethereum-magicians.org/t/soliciting-s… Thank you for your attention to this matter!
It's crunch time for Glamsterdam headliner discussions, make sure to voice your opinion on ethmagicians to support you favorite EIP(s). 🦴🦖FOCIL bullpost 🦴🦖 FOCIL introduces a completely new primitive into the protocol. It allows some protocol participant to impose…

4 out of 10 community members, representing L2s, L1 infra, and users, choose FOCIL as their headliner for the next fork! Another 3 signal FOCIL as important. Help ensure Ethereum’s censorship resistance by voicing your opinion in the thread linked here!

plus the scaling benefits of FOCIL :) we can more safely lean on beefier builders if we have this guaranteed check on their behavior in place
1/ 📜 New research just dropped on one of the darkest corners of MEV: CEX-DEX arbitrage. @William33203632 @sui414 @soispoke @malleshpai mapped 7.2M trades and $233.8M in extracted value, using a custom Dune dataset. Here’s what they found 🧵 arxiv.org/abs/2507.13023
Two forks ago we didn't have cheap L2 txs. Two forks from now we will have - perfect parallelization of execution - orders of magnitude more gas limit. - orders of magnitude more blobs. - better censor resistance It's a no brainer tradfi is trying to tap into Ethereum
Ethereum Glamsterdam forks with Protocol Guild - what's the best path ahead? x.com/i/broadcasts/1…
Generally great to see some takes on Glamsterdam. But a few thoughts on FOCIL: > "its censorship benefits do not extend to 99% of transactions known to be excluded by block builders today." I don't think that's fair or accurate: - Today, 60% of transactions still go to the…
I partnered with @Data_Always to provide our MEV perspective on the Glamsterdam upgrade. TLDR: While BALs are uncontroversially good for the EL, there is no standout candidate for the CL. Every option has clear pros & cons, some of which surprised us. collective.flashbots.net/t/an-mev-persp…
How much profits does MEV bots 🤖 really make from CEX-DEX Arbitrage? No one can answer this question before, but we are excited to share a new paper measuring it with formal methods finally! (We got accepted by AFT25' !🥳) I summarized all the alpha in one pic for you 😃
While everybody's always got thoughts on Ethereum, not everyone's as informed about where we're actually headed. So let's change that. We're bringing you an exciting session with our friends at @ProtocolGuild (aka core Ethereum devs + researchers) about the Glamsterdam forks.…

Great work led by @William33203632, setting a standard for our understanding of CEX-DEX arbitrages and how they impact the searcher <> builder market structure on Ethereum 🔥

Beyond tightening Ethereum's CR properties, it's actually a stealth scalability unlock. The future of Ethereum is embracing heavy block building (and later heavy proving) with light verification but we must offset the tradeoff here (CR and liveness). FOCIL allows us to retain…
My tier list for headliners in Ethereum's next network upgrade 'Glamsterdam'. ePBS and FOCIL are a must - both of these EIPs should go live together as they are massive unlocks for Ethereum. We can reduce slot times (EIP-7782) in the upgrade after Glamsterdam.
Decentralization is merely a means to an end The goals of a public blockchain are: - Corruption-resistance - Censorship-resistance - Permissionless access To mitigate MEV, we weakened censorship-resistance That’s why I think FOCIL should be the headliner
Nice summary, but would've been even nicer with a reference to the original post: ethereum-magicians.org/t/epbs-focil-c…
Can EIP-7732 (ePBS) and EIP-7805 (FOCIL) work together without conflict? Yes, and here’s a quick breakdown of how and why 👇
✨ The Glamsterdam equation ✨ I provide mathematical models that can be used to analyze scaling and utility of delayed execution and ePBS in the context of shorter slot times. Plots illustrate the effect of different assumptions and optimizations. ethresear.ch/t/the-glamster…
cypherpunk/ acc
My uninformed take on Glamsterdam headliners. tldr: cypherpunk/acc Ethereum is at risk of institutional capture in next few years, so make CR and light clients real ASAP. No one will object to faster blocks or 64bit opcodes later. But many won't want to give up juicy orderflow.
