if you have "the curtains were fucking blue" mentality you just kinda like Suck to talk to like I can't really figure out any other way to word it i think you just suck to talk to especially about fictional stories and stuff
What’s your most PRETENTIOUS opinion?
So a number of people in WoW Twitter have recently chosen to name Calia as a "White Savior" Trope, both Black and Non-Black members of the community alike, with everyone inclined to name her such *intuitively* but aren't sure if the term applies properly. The answer is complex!
*insert my usual rant about how much better Orcs would be if Blizzard gave a damn about researching Mongolian culture for Orcs besides the concept of a "Horde", yurts, some armor design, and one singular architectural style* Imagine those sweet jackets for xmog
American bro challenges Mongol wrestler in Naadam Festival in Inner Mongolia. There's no weight class in Mongol wrestling. Bro calls himself American Hangai, living in China with his ethnic Mongol wife. He has been practicing Mongol wrestling for a few years
No truer post than the one saying "Blizzard has potent orientalism 10 years behind everyone else's" but about any racism in their works, some of the stuff in BfA was outdated racism even for the 90s and it came out in 2018
Won a game against Yunara, had to remind her who was here first

I forgot to ask my besties on here how they liked K-pop Demon Hunters, cause I know I brought it up before it came out
we got a lil busy today but here you go kaynkali wolves
LRT: there is something upsetting about the way Blizzard framed a BIPOC coded woman (Otoye, the Zandalari guard) as lying and exaggerating the violence on her people and that two white men wanted to kidnap another BIPOC coded woman. There is something so gross about writing this.
There is no "woke" or even "good" reason to frame that Zandalari Guard as exaggerating what Genn said as he proceded to murder Rastakhan. The intention behind that design choice is self-evident to me.
The way that the Zandalari guard is framed as "exaggerating" what Genn said when they invaded and killed Rastakhan is an exercise in white supremacist critique saying that POC exaggerate white oppression, even in the literal context of neocolonial/imperialist regicide.
I love that Varus refers to himself as a weapon and as the bow, while Aatrox is actually very adamant that he is not a weapon, a tool and he will not let himself be wielded. Aatrox is very prideful and very tied to trying to preserve his humanity - ironically for a killer.
I think about this scene constantly and it's so especially clear when watching it in motion. Kayn's eyes scan around for Aphelios almost a little frantic to make sure he's okay, and then he grins. This boy loves his new crew and I believe he would do anything for them.
This scene alone killed all allegations that Kayn doesn't care about other people 💜
My friend @skymagpie live blogged her reaction to my birthday package for her arriving
I'm still excited for Midnight by the way, but I would've been more hyped for this.
Happy Father's Day to the Dads of Warcraft!
