Mark Bonokoski was born to be a newspaperman. He had such a human touch, was an intense and passionate storyteller. He made every paper he wrote for better. RIP Bono, my Hall of Fame friend, colleague, hero.
How durable was Jim Clancy at a different time in baseball history? He started more than 30 games 8 different times with the Blue Jays. He pitched more than 200 innings 6 times. He threw 73 complete games. In the early years, when the Jays didn't have much, they had Clancy.
Damn - Jim Clancy, one of the first really fine pitchers in Blue Jays history, who started 345 games over 12 seasons in Toronto, has died at the age of 69. I once saw him throw a one-hitter. RIP to an early Blue Jays great.

The tribute to Bob McKenzie at the end of Free Agent Frenzy was wonderfully and emotionally done. No one has done more for hockey coverage - across so many venues in so many ways - than Bob. All the best in retirement, legend.
