Tales from the Feedyard (Uncensored)
@silagechopper
A cattle feeder. A retired custom silage cutter. And a retired truck driver. Destroying the Ol Murley place one hoof print at a time. Amateur tractor collector.
Been a long ass time since I mowed hay for someone for cash. As rough as that 80 was and as many rocks as I hit, God will forgive some sod buster some day for breaking it. I almost need a beer and a chiropractor.

Just out here trying to fight off the grass hoppers.

If they don’t work today, just wait till tomorrow. Don’t weaken now!!

9 hours of sorting cattle, loading yearlings and gathering in the dust and heat. Only the last hour did she say “I’m starting to get tired, but I’m not quitting”..

And really, my biggest concern is that people still go to Cold Play…
And there I was. Summer of 25. Smack dab in the middle of haying season. Training barrel horses in shoulder high kochia weed.

Possibly a saloon cloud. Probably a hail storm and a lightning strike…

Put bulls out this morning. Mark calander for April 15 blizzard.
Brought my fire fighting rig to the hayfield. Only thing I keep thinking of is if I really need it,the pull rope on the Briggs & Stratton will break….

Almost be worth being overdrawn on Monday morning….

Can’t seem to buy an inch a rain so I’m gonna go ahead and assume it’s safe enough I can unhook this and use my tractor in the hay field.

Got my silage cutter out so someone could start fixing shit. Ain’t got as many hours on it as I was thinking. Not doing anything is paying off!!

Wish I could have gotten a picture. Had my back turned last night, talking to some other parents…Looked back for my kid. There she was with her horse and another 7 yr old girl trying to throw a goat tying dummy on the horse. I thought guess we find out if horse is bomb proof!!
Let em have their dually and 4 horse slant trailers. I just need a 2 horse bumper hitch!

First time I’ve ever been blamed for pulling a dog kennel was today…..

Baler boys told me to go sit on the bench for the night.
