Observations and opinions
How is it hard to understand? The way certain Arsenal fans speak pisses me TF off. Respect others opinions and put your love for the club aside to have actual reasoned conversation. Stop telling people how they should feel.
If you're an Arsenal fan complaining about Gyokeres, now the Isak news has come out. I don't understand. You would absolutely complain if we stopped going for Gyokeres, to go for Isak and then didn't sign him. We made our choice and let's hope it goes well.
Mateta, Watkins, Guirassy, Wissa and even a Welbeck return are all good options for MUFC. Avoid Šeško and focus on developing Obi/Højlund. Continue the sequence of buying high floor domestic players.
🚨 Manchester United transfer focus now on areas including No9. Recent enquiries for Ekitike + Gyokeres. Sesko, Watkins, Jackson on list but not actively pursuing; can change if prices reduce. #MUFC currently working more on other candidates @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/65060…
Viktor Gyökeres is actually a very good fit for Arsenal, but only if paired with Kai Havertz in a front-two. in the quoted thread, we established what Arsenal’s preferred game dynamics looks like, and how Kai is crucial to it. now, how can Gyökeres fit into it all? <THREAD🚨>
The injury to Kai Havertz has been the most impactful factor on the reduced efficacy and effectiveness of Arsenal’s attack. The domino effect of his absence has affected the team more profoundly than widely understood. And it all has to do with GAME DYNAMICS. THREAD🚨.
Great dynamic until you realise the 'two dynamic AMs' are Rice and Ødegaard.
Arsenal midfield dynamics 🔎 Early signs of what we can expect. Zubi as a single pivot DM, allowing two dynamic AM's to stay higher up. Central progression of the ball becomes much easier. Add Gyökeres channel running to this = 🔥
The last paragraph... ouch.
🚨🇸🇮 There’s gentlemen agreement between Benjamin Šeško and RB Leipzig. The price tag for limited clubs could be reduced to range of €70-80m plus €5-10m add-ons. This is only valid for few clubs considered “special” by Šeško. 🎥 More: youtu.be/MZUhy5APjkA
Truth is our attraction to other players peaked last summer, just look at Zubimendi deal. Even pulled Calafiori out of Italy. Motta Juve interested, LFC RMA were there too. Look how LFC took advantage of there 'pull' this season, meanwhile we had a 12 week Mikel Merino saga.
Weirdly this looks right.
🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Tottenham want to sign Rodrygo and have ENTERED the race! — @edu17burgos
Kepa, Mosquera , Nørgaard, Madueke and Gyökeres... Berta you have blood on your hands.
I got a dopamine hit ngl...
🚨❤️🤍 BREAKING: Viktor Gyökeres to Arsenal, here we go! Verbal agreement in place between all parties involved. Sporting accept last bid from Arsenal for €63.5m plus €10m, agent will reduce his commission. Gyökeres will sign five year deal at #AFC. He ONLY wanted Arsenal. 🇸🇪
Wanted Xabi to call him for Madrid. Nevertheless good to see him back in England. Sunderland needed a head like to go with all the other signings. Let's see if they can do something...
🚨 EXCL: Granit Xhaka informs Bayer Leverkusen he only wants to join Sunderland as club-to-club talks continue. Agreement now in place between 32yo & #SAFC. #Bayer04 asked by Switzerland midfielder to close deal rapidly. Negotiations ongoing @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/65080…
Wish we took the punt.
🚨 Barcelona advancing on deal to sign Marcus Rashford from Man Utd. Offer via intermediaries loan + buy option. #MUFC have agreed - not done but final stages. Flick approves 27yo England int’l; suits #FCBarcelona on football/financial level @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/60776…
Rashford vs Jude... we'll be there. He's gonna explode at Barca.
6ft+, insane PnP... ballstriking one of the best. Creative 1v1 dribbler able to play on both sides. Of the ilk of CR7/Bale but Utd have made him look like Matt Phillips. This is Barca's rival to Jude Bellingham.
Arteta did great work with Nketiah and Havertz. Let's see if he can do the same with Gyökeres. I actually do think it came to a point where we overcoached Eddie and he lost that natural knack for goals he came through with. But his hold up/link play went up levels.
