The problem with tech is that it’s still largely being built by men who’ve never felt truly connected to themselves, to others, or to the world. It’s revenge-of-the-nerd energy disguised as innovation, and it’s torpedoing culture, intimacy, and meaning in the process.
Like I asked Daniel Caesar to exec produce my next album for that very same reason and Wondagurl to do the one after that. They both said yes. That’s what I need to get to that next level. Rocky and Ye both need me to EP theirs. Music should be way more collaborative.

The Drake/Kendrick was strange to experience as a Toronto artist. On one hand, Drake is me, he’s from my city. When I see him, I see what’s possible. I see myself. But on the other hand… not a like. Not a follow. No acknowledgment. I linked with Ye before I ever heard a word…
I noticed whenever I criticized Drake and OVO it spread like wildfire on these Toronto pages but any time I show love it’s quiet.
I need to raise another 300K for this project. Saying this aloud and seeing how the universe opens up. In God’s Name.
