One small step for trustless bridge, one giant leap for Bitcoin. We keep pushing #OPCAT 🐈 boundaries w/ @StarkWareLtd
The first step toward a trustless L2 bridge connecting Starknet to Bitcoin has been achieved by @scryptplatform! A few months ago, we partnered with sCrypt to build a Bitcoin Signet (OP_CAT-enabled) PoC bridge, designed to lay the foundation for a production-grade bridge for…

Lil announcement. I've decided to spend the next 12 months learning Bitcoin Script, with a sub-focus on off-chain scaling solutions. If you want to follow my journey or even learn together. I've set up a Skool community for anyone interested in Script. You can join below👇

Solidity is the worst programming language I have ever used in my life. I don't care who in Ethereum tells me the opposite but it's obvious to anyone that has worked with good compilers and other programming languages.
Winternitz signatures using #OPCAT 🔥
Sanket Kanjalkar (@sanket1729), Jonas Nick (@n1ckler), Tadge Dryja (@tdryja), Steven Roose (@stevenroose3), and Brandon Black (@reardencode) joined Optech this week to discuss: - A new onion message network - CTV+CSFS and benefits to PTLCs and BitVM - Vault descriptors - The CTV…

Great #OPCAT discussion at Bitcoin Vegas: Is OP_CAT Bringing MEV to Bitcoin? youtu.be/OxNvwBwZEs0?si…
No “DeFi” solution on BTC is trustless today, unlike on ETH & SOL. The only way to enable trustless DeFi is #OPCAT on BTC.
Finally someone else is pointing it out I've yet to see any Bitcoin DeFi solution that claims to be "trustless" actually being trustless. They all have trust assumptions, and some of them are deceptive with their marketing
BTC DeFi cannot exist unless we upgrade bcoz “Decentralization”/non-custodial solutions r impossible without #OPCAT
There is no such thing as "BTC DeFi" It cannot exist, due to BTC's inherent limitations. Beware of anyone claiming otherwise! All so-called "BTC DeFi" projects are centralized From BitVM, BitcoinOS, Sovryn & more. All have single points of failure that can steal user funds! ⚠️
#OPCAT addresses both issues of Bitcoin: programmability & scalability
Bitcoin's benefits can and should be used for a wider range of use cases. For that it needs the right tech that will allow it to scale and evolve. OP_CAT? Soft forks? Some other solution? Just scale it.
Polkadot is dead. Raised $500M. Promised a revolution. Now? No users. No devs. No future. Here’s how one of crypto’s biggest bets faded into a ghost chain 👇🧵
I am making a list of things that matter for a crypto startup Things that dont matter: - intern accounts - yield farming program - points - KOLs - Good VCs - Community - Buy back and burn Things that matter: - A product people use without a token - Users - Distribution

Can code run off chain (such as at indexers or client side) and NOT executed by Bitcoin miners be regarded as smart contracts
Alkanes vs Runes 1/ Here’s everything you need to know 🧵
🧵 What if Bitcoin Script could verify any signature on any message, with no sighash rules & no transaction context? That’s exactly what OP_CHECKSIGFROMSTACK (BIP-348) proposes. Let’s unpack what it is, how it works, and why it’s being discussed again 👇
I run a financial services company that includes brokerage among our dozen or so products — no exchange! Most of these BTC staking schemes take your BTC, wrap it, stake it on a “defi” lending service for yield in an altcoin token, then sell the shitcoin for BTC and give that to…
Cool experiment. But Alkane contracts are NOT executed by Bitcoin nodes on-chain, instead by indexers off-chain
1/10 A metaprotocol for smart contracts on #Bitcoin L1, without relying on bridges or L2 solutions. Contracts compiled to WASM and executed on-chain. Introducing @oylwallet’s new experiment: #Alkanes.
If you take Bitcoin metaprotocols and indexers to its logical extreme, you end up reinventing Bitcoin consensus and nodes. Only #OPCAT allows nodes to be the most decentralized, secure, and trustless "indexers".
Name another blockchain other than Bitcoin where code run off-chain (e.g., at indexers) can be regarded as smart contracts
