The gospel doesn’t start with “you’re wrong.” It starts with “you’re loved.” This is how Jesus met the woman caught in adultery. First: "I do not condemn you." Then: "Now, go leave your life of sin." Sequence is everything.
The two forms of lovelessness are withdrawal and attack. - Dallas Willard
What if this weekend, instead of asking, “How can I squeeze God into my Sunday schedule?” we asked, “How can I reorient my Sunday schedule around Him?” One will leave us tired. The other - renewed.
“I’ve experienced God's presence in the deepest, darkest hell that men can create… I have tested the promises of the Bible, and believe me, you can count on them.” - Corrie Ten Boom
God’s justice is not at odds with His love: it’s an expression of it. A love that overlooks evil isn’t love at all; and justice without mercy is a cold and lifeless thing. The cross is where both meet.👇🏼🧵
🧵 Can a loving God send people to hell? This isn’t some theological riddle - it’s life and death. A few thoughts. 👇
If your news feed leaves you feeling cynical or hopeless, remember: the Kingdom of God is not in crisis. Jesus is not pacing. He is seated at the Father's right hand - reigning in love, truth, and victory.
Imagine a world where God forces everyone into heaven... even those who want nothing to do with Him. That wouldn’t be love. It would be coercion. The tragic beauty of God’s love is this: He won’t force you to love Him back.
The Church is not a platform for the righteous but a healing center for the hurting. If your faith feels fragile, your doubts loud, your spirit heavy, or your past messy - you’re not disqualified. You’re actually the reason Jesus came.
"Having an affair" is such lighthearted terminology for something that both reveals and produces such heavy grief and brokenness.
Many are tired not from doing too much, but from trying to *be* too much. Jesus doesn’t say “Be everything to everyone all the time.” He does say, “I will give you rest.” . Sometimes, "No" is the holiest word you can say, especially to those who demand more than you can give.
We don’t need to be impressive to be impactful. God seems far more interested in humble availability than in polished perfection. He doesn’t need all-stars - He enjoys working through servants.
"If I avoid the truth about my life, I avoid applying God's grace to it... Grace allows the inventory to be fearless. Truth demands the inventory to be searching." - John Ortberg
You don’t have to win. You just have to be faithful. The applause of heaven often sounds like silence on earth. Stay the course. God sees. God knows. God delights in you through Christ.
Being "right" is not the same as being Christlike. Jesus didn’t just win arguments. He won people. Truth without love is noise. Love without truth is hollow. But love with truth? That's what changes lives.
