What is SCORCHED: The New West? Scorched is a dark western-inspired post-apocalyptic series following the events after an apocalyptic event dubbed 'The Scorching'. In the 23rd century, the story follows a lonesome gunslinger known as "Waste" and her hellbent quest for revenge.
This changed after the days of the Dune Sirens. She needed more ammunition, and lots of it to enact her brutal revenge campaign. This came in the form of compact folding strips that could easily be worn in a greater capacity than any moon clips or conventional speed loader.
Back when Klara had two hands and revolvers she used moon clips for rapid reloads. This differed from her step-father Roland Greylock’s method and was far less flashy and more practical than the old timer who saw gunslinging as an art form She was a killer for Udren not an artist

Klara Chlebek (later known as Waste) was born on March 30th, 2258 in ALLAMAKEE SITE 08-MW in what was once the U.S state of Iowa. Site 08, otherwise known commonly as Iowa Complex 8 was one of the dozen midwest high-grade government continuity bunkers built during the Cold War.
