Apparently my long held belief is very unpopular. I've always felt that the Federal government should sell property. If you or I were carrying such a huge debt, we'd be forced to sell. If you want to keep it, get your budget under control.

As HB 2025 (the big transportation bill) hangs in the balance, Sen. Pres. Rob Wagner has removed Sen. Mark Meek from the committee ahead of today's 2:30 meeting (delayed), replacing Meek himself. Meek is a no on the bill and Dems need Wagner's vote to move the bill to the floor.
Lost in all the drama coming from this and the resolution that followed was the resolution today honoring the late Chuck Mawhinney. A true American and Oregon patriot and hero.

I think I understand what SB 747 is trying to accomplish, but there are so many holes in it. Why irrigated land and not dryland? Big difference between low rainfall and high rainfall areas. And that's just one of the many questions I have. #orleg
