Apparently US border control is really cracking down. My French sister, flying to visit LA for 2 weeks, got grilled for 20 minutes because she had not booked any touristy stuff yet, they almost sent her back.
Today I tried to find an abstract answer to the question: Why are global tensions spiking right now. The best I could come up with is that complexity is rising super-linearly, but coordination mechanisms scale only linearly, the gap shows up as geopolitical stress.
