LTS duration becomes shorter, but should be easier to upgrade from 2 major to 1 in one year. Before: 26 (LTS) -> skip 27 (non LTS) -> 28 (LTS) Proposed: 26 (LTS) -> 27(LTS) -> 28(LTS)
