Thrilled that the English translation of my memoir, Upside-Down Love (@BlackstoneAudio, January 2026) is now on pre-order: blackstonepublishing.com/products/book-…). Critically acclaimed as a beacon of hope in an upside-down Middle East, this irreverent, honest love story is worth a read.
There's no moral or legal distinction between contemporary plans to empty Gaza of Palestinians and denying 1948 refugees their right to return. On my mother-in-law and Gaza's day after: nytimes.com/2025/07/28/opi…

Spanning Germany, Rwanda, Serbia, and Myanmar before landing in Gaza, @KenRoth makes a compelling case that genocide in service of ethnic cleansing is still genocide. Seeking to destroy some but not all of a people as such - is still genocide. And it needs to be stopped.
Forced displacement should be understood as a motive for genocide, not a defense. The International Court of Justice will have to revisit its jurisprudence to condemn the genocides committed by Myanmar against the Rohingya and Israel in Gaza. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
Future generations will know that Israel’s Genocide in Palestine began with propaganda and dehumanization… bankrolled by the US, and enabled by a western media that suppressed facts, censored Palestinian voices and manufactured consent to genocide.

I highly recommend @omarelakkad's One Day Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This. It's a searing personal and political analysis of how Western institutions, primarily in North America, dehumanize Muslims and Arabs and an insistence on their humanity, especially in Gaza.
This is endless. More evacuation orders, more people being crammed into tent cities that are also bombed, being asked to risk their lives for food, much of which is controlled by gangs backed by the Israeli army who resell it for cash that no one has.
