life is 10x better when you're obsessed w/ building something
good crew @ piccino last night for HCI / AI design discussions. we had @henrymodis ripping some hot takes like: > why we need less tech anthropomorphization (waymo's don't need be trolling you on april fools) > why you shouldn't have wkly design crits & approvals; just let ppl…

who's doing the best work in multiturn / tool calling evals? very interested to see how others have done UI scaffolding for this
need recs for sf restaurants to host at, which aren’t: piccino / pabu / flour+water / penny roma / kokkari
congrats @CrosbyLegal! & ty for the 🥯
Today we’re introducing Crosby, a hybrid AI law firm that helps rapidly growing businesses execute faster. Contracts are connection points. They allow companies to transact with one another and create economic growth. But while every aspect of business has sped up, the way we…
wow, i just built a little demand planning agent for a retailer (spun up a few custom mcp servers in the process). the future is exciting 🤓
what differentiates an 'agentic' product from just ai software: the agent is proactive / generates plans (non-deterministic output), can chase the user for decisions & action approvals, what else?
great api design actually doesn't translate to good mcp servers. there's a lot to rethink here
rly like this. we're getting closer to 0% chat. the best agentic UX ive felt is where there is no chat interface -chat happens in apps i alr use & the agent's web app is purely for observability
chatting with AI models to gets things done feels archaic compared to firing off agents to do things for you. user interfaces of AI products are starting to reflect this transition.
have invested “in-network” via thiel, harvard, yc, etc but today i wrote a check to a founder born at the same hospital in ATL 😂
work w/ ppl who either love stress or dont know what stress feels like
how can i trust you to design my saas if you can't even make your IG aesthetic
the best part of devin is the sound design, so pleasant, need more saas that makes noise
you can tell a founder's moving upmarket when their twts start to get less spicy :(
i wish more ppl thought srsly abt why they're starting companies rather than start them for the sake of starting them
